Happy Anniversary to Me
My writing on this site was born out of my anguish. Watching a yahoo make a bunch of money off of the sweat of others who had come as far away as Australia, was exasperating. It was the catalyst to get me started on my path. My writing was the result from sitting for a day and a half in a crowded room located in northern California with a bunch of other suckers. We had all agreed to be packed in a room for three days, no food or water, watching an ego-maniac who was really an undying optimist; what others might call a glorified cheerleader. He started every session clapping, dancing, jumping around, trying to distract me from the fact that my neighbors’ legs would be touching mine as soon as we all settled in to our narrow seats.
My girlfriend, who paid the large fee and invited me along, was and is, energetically sensitive. Having strangers so close to her is like asking her to sit still when a stampede of bison are on their way to trample her. The first day we were able to get a seat early, and on the edge of the room, even though our color was green and we were not allowed to enter the dungeon before the VIP’s who paid even more than we did and the other special groups. None of it made sense.
On the second day, my friend and I sat on the lawn contemplating our future. Our color did not serve us the second day as we got caught somewhere in the middle of a thirty person row. We left the morning session early. We really tried yet left after one of the guest speakers said he had to move his office out his home since he married a Ukrainian swimsuit model and could get none of his work done with her walking around the space. All I really remember was she was so hot he couldn’t control himself. If I got the story wrong, forgive my memory. He laughed at how he charged hundreds of dollars for a half hour of his time every week coaching people who he was now making fun of in front of a room full of guests to his paradigm. His message irritated me and many other ladies in the crowd. The woman from Montana next to me was making noises with her mouth and nose she was so upset by the tone of his speech.
By this point you may have picked up on some of my sarcasm to the scene. It was clearly not my kind of place. What I did get, which is priceless, it the clarity on my life’s purpose. That is empowering women both financially and spiritually. Most of my life these two topics seemed on opposite sides of the spectrum. There was very little each had in common. What I figured out as I boarded my plane for home, that all of this energy coming to California was worth it. It got where one step closer to where I was headed. Blogging, writing, and helping women on both topic’s. Even if they still do not seem related…. they are to me.
Thanks for reading my stuff. It means the world to me.
